[21:34] Chairing a Toastmasters International Convention can be a rewarding experience, but hosting the organization's 100th anniversary event and combining that journey with a family connection can enhance the magic even more. On today's episode, we speak with host co-chairs Joan Lewis (right) and Jessica Allen (left), a mother-and-daughter duo who will be there to welcome Toastmasters from around the world who'll be congregating in Anaheim, California, from August 14-17, 2024, to mark Toastmasters' 100th anniversary.
Joan and Jessica share their thoughts about this upcoming significant milestone event and how they became the host co-chairs. They enlighten us about what they have learned by taking on this role and how they used their family connection and skill and personality differences to help them excel in their roles.
They give us a little sneak peek into what people can expect at the conference and share just one of the many surprises attendees will be wowed by.
While many know Anaheim, California, as the home of Disneyland, Joan and Jessica also give us some ideas of what people can do before and after the convention in Anaheim and the surrounding areas.
